Do you know someone who is always on their phone?

The last two nights I went out with a friend I swear she always has her phone in her hand and posts everything online whether Facebook or Twitter. She is so involved with Syrian. She was 'dating' a guy from there, yet never met him and then he stopped talking to her. So she is constantly following that, and obsessed with it. I almost feel like I go out by myself half the time.

No, I don't really know anyone like that. It's bad manners to always be on your phone if you are going out with someone.

I completely agree. Now its one thing if you take one call and then apologize but she literally can't set her phone down.

@ricki_911 Yes a call isn't a problem but on you phone all the time, NO, not the thing to do.

@kevin1877uk Exactly, she is constantly on her phone, and posting to Facebook or Twitter. I assume because she never goes out, and when she does she goes by herself.

Maybe the reason why she's online and post everything online or always on the phone is because she wanted to know updates about her Syrian friend. But on the other hand, not being private about some things is not good.

That could be it but she could least set her phone down for 2 hours. Apparently she was 'dating' the one guy but he blocked and deleted her.

@ricki_911 oh... Maybe her constant calling and trying to reach him finally got to him. I also don't like people who would constantly be one my tail. I love privacy and being on my own. Clingy and needy people are the ones I hate to be with

@slayer08 I completely agree. I am the same way, but I am not sure how it worked. They were always texting and talking. I assume he found someone else or some disagreement. I know she had just recently told him her brother was gay, and I said if he just blocked and deleted you he is a loser.

I can't stand that. If i'm going out with someone or family i do not use my phone at all unless they go use the bathroom or something. I find it rude to be on the phone when your there to interact and enjoy each others company.

I used to know a gentleman who used to be on the phone all of the time. He worked for a phone company and of course never had to pay for a single phone call. One morning I arrived in to work at about 7:50 in the morning, I had not yet turned on my computer when the phone rang, it was Paul, he was in the way to the office and was asking whether I could do something for him, well I had to get the computer started and could not get it done that second. It took him seven minutes to arrive at the office and he stayed on the phone the whole time, but I had still not answered his first question as we were still waiting for the systems to start. This was some time ago and systems were much slower those days. We used to joke that Paul needed a mobile phone stitched into his ear because of how often he used it.

@ricki_911 There are times when you should not multi-task. I was in a queue the other day and the person was on the phone at the same time as paying for their groceries, needless to say their conversation kept getting in the way of using the credit card machine, which kept timing out the transaction. Dumb.

I couldn't imagine being on the phone that often, it really just tires me out. I know customers at work every time you see them they are always on the phone. I find them rude while they are on the phone and cashing out.

I just can;t understand what is so important about their phone and why they have to constantly be posting.

I look around and observe that just about everyone I see fits that bill.
