I was taught it was round, then pear shaped. When I was little I was taught that Pluto was a planet. Now some say it isn´t and some call it a dwarf planet. Why would it be less a planet just for being small?

I never thought of an Earth as a coconut. It must be because we have no coconuts here. Teachers spoke of oranges when I was a child.

In fact the earth is not round at all, it is a sphere that is squashed at its poles and swollen at the equator.

I think that question has long been resolved and recent photos taken by astronauts if orbital flight further support the fact of the earth being round.

Isaiah 40:22: He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live. That's how I know it's round-ish.
