As some of you know, my commencement ceremony was Friday evening and of course I got more nervous as the time drew near to leave, especially when I had to leave earlier to get my graduation card. Once there, the first place I went was to the bookstore where my card is. I gave my name and the woman gave me my card along with this yellow cord and I was confused, but gave the cord to my husband and left to put on my cap and gown.(Other than my daughter's graduation from a vocational school, I don't know anything about graduations and yes, I am the first in my family to graduate college) I come out of the room and found my husband talking to one of the helpers who explained the yellow cord was for honor student. Yes, I got an A and a B my last semester, but I didn't think I was honors, knowing I had some C's in the past. (To me, honors means A's and later when I got home, I saw my grades overall and only got two C's, the rest were A's and B's) so I guess when they use my Cumulative GPA (which is 3.642) that I made honors. Another exciting thing happened, I ended up sitting between two friends, one who I met my very first quarter and we connected up right away, I even went to her wedding, the other was a student in my last semester of school. Then we found out that we were sitting behind some special people; the oldest graduate (89) and the youngest graduate (14) and the youngest graduate's mom. So if anyone (that is the school or news media) took their sitting while they were sitting, I would also be in the picture. So that was what my ceremony was like. I will post about my party later.
