After a fairly relaxed job search morning, I noticed again that our window cleaner still isn’t actually cleaning the windows that he is paid to do by my mum. She won’t fire him because she has no other window cleaner at present but as he isn’t doing them anyway I’m not sure why she still insists on paying him.
I headed to the library, and enjoyed the bright sunshine. On the way back I shot another Youtube of a pub sign, the local Railway Hotel in Newton Heath, Manchester. The filming drew the attention of a passing cyclist who stopped to listen to my live narration, though he was courteous in not making any noise to ruin the take. I had a nice chat with him afterwards.
Back home I edited my writings and made a file of the contents of my numerous note pads to help me find what notes are in which pad. I helped fix my mum’s TV too, which amounted to switching it off and back on again for her.

railway station pubs often opened alongside the stations so their history is intertwined @Inlemay

@arthurchappell it seems that way - I have never seen that anywhere here in SA

@Inlemay surprising as travellers often want a place to chill and get food / drinks after long rail journeys or while waiting for connections

Why don't you wash the windows for your mum instead? You are working and probably need the money.

@celticeagle I wouldn't charge my mum to do such a task and we don't have such a ladder

that really is a nice sign and I'm sure the cyclist was interested in what you were saying

That's a beautifully done sign. Great graphics. More recent vintage, I assume.

Does the window guy just pretend that he's doing windows, or does he even bother showing up?

@teamfreak16 he pretends as even when in the rooms he is supposed to be doing he often never appears on the other side of the glass
