There are many items and objects that are considere sacred in Hinduism. There are sacred objects of worship, riers, mountains, animals, and even trees which occupy a place of worship. We can not neglect them on the basis of unreasonableness or irrationality as such superstitions marked their way in all most all religions of the world though with a degree of difference. The Banana is worshiped by devotees on eery thursday by offering turmeric, jaggery and Chana Dal Interestingly this is the tree which can be used for arieties of purposes . The broa leaes are cut and use for dining purpose. The flower is used to prepare delicious curry which is good for health. The white stem is cut and a curry is prepared with a combination of Sur Dal which is highly recommended for kidney problem. The raw plantain is use in various religious ceremonies and religious festivals. During Annual Ceremonies the use of Banana leaes is of a very high value. The priest prepare small cups using banana leaves and the entire ceremony revoles around the material kept in these leaf cups.

I didn't know, about this veneration, Hindus have for the banana plant. Thank you very much for sharing. Also, is good to know how almost every part of the plant is used, I am from a tropical region too, and we also use many parts of the plant, not only the fruit. Thank you very much for your input, very interesting.
