I Love My iPad, I Hate My IPad. My ApologiesTo All Here On myLot

I have sort of big fingers. I am big boned but not so big I look like an ape, I'm just one who would never in her lifetime be called tiny or petite. I've been called good looking, pretty, beautiful, sweet, sassy, and all the right things that a woman wants to hear, even sexy, but never petite...sigh.... While away from my computer I have been myLotting on the iPad. My eyesite at my age is not great, my glasses need to be changed, I have cataracts and need that surgery to improve my eyesite soon in the future, to get the new glasses.... So just checking my notifications this morning has me laughing out loud at myself. This "old broad" needs to slow down and reread her comments and her spelling before she hits respond.... The type on the iPad is just too small and yesterday I left a mess of misspelled words behind as I caught up with my returning comments. My big fingers also accidentally hit the ads a dozen times too. I have a stylist to use on the iPad, actually I have several, all of them are not with me.... I am editing the typos as I run into them but it's too late, I know you all think I can't write, but I can, I just need to go slower.... The photo is just one of the beautiful streams I am enjoying in this Georgian Bay Area of Ontario. My husband fishes, I play with my camera and iPad.

Lol - you've spelt 'petite' wrong - twice. That's one thing I've never been called either. That's a gorgeous photo, glad you are having a nice break.

@LadyDuck I did fix it, should I mention to @jabo she had a typo in her comment or just assume she is a good friend and wants me to know I'm not the only one with typos...

Have you consider typing with your voice. There is a built in app in ipad that does it and there are also apps you can download that does it.

@PainsOnSlate I think voice texting is easy as long as you dont have thick accent. As far as I know voice recognition can handle Canadian accent easier more than Texas Accent.

Cool idea, I know my daughter uses voice to send text messages. I will look into that.

@crazyhorseladycx When our kids were babies we went fishing all the time in Kansas. I was really good at it but to tell the truth now, at my age it bores me... My camera keeps me happy. I'm home now and loving the big type on my computer.

It's just so peaceful here. , iVe got Lake Huron across the road and down a national trail., so quiet, interesting, and beautiful. It did warm up, my best girlfriend and her husband joined us for a couple of days after my daughter and her other were here. My guy got to fish with a buddy who came during the night to fish with him, and of course I'm There the days we were in our own to "fish" with him, he had a fishing pole and I had my camera.loved every moment with Mother Nature. Now I want to go camping.... I am going to ask for a keyboard..., my daughter can get me one discounted so I will leave it up to her and pay whatever it costs. We head home tomorrow....sigh....

@DianneN And that is just what I don't like about cell phones, life is interesting and fun until the cell phone rings while you are in an interesting conversation with a friend, or taking a bath, or meditating and it interrupts, and interrupts, and interrupts a thousand times a day...Anyone can just leave me a message and I'll get it when I feel like it...

@PainsOnSlate Never said anything. I am not one to say anything on other people's mistakes. I am embarrassed with my mistakes. Being called beautiful. pretty, and sexy is great. You do not have to be petite for all that. Those are compliments.

I am happy in my body, I learned long ago that life is what it is, I enjoy every day and my life is comfortable. Married for 50 years and don't feel that old...(until I look in a mirror).... life is good.

I can totally relate! But with me its my darned cellphone when I text. I turn it sideways in a feeble attempt to make those tiny keys a bit bigger, but I still manage to send out texts with wrong words in it.

Therefore we are sisters, , nice to meet you as a sister. Loved the scenery, so sad I have to go back into suburbia in the morning. I do love country living but money to live in my case is where the city is...now you know just one of the millions of reasons I love camping.

Who ever can type perfectly on these tiny phone keyboards must have freakishly tiny fingers like the size of toothpicks. I'm forever messing up. Whenever possible I try to use the speech to text feature.

I am "petite", I am 5'2, small frame, small fingers, small feet, but I also hate to type on those small devices. This is the reason why I always type using a real keyboard.

My fingers are bigger than the keyboards allow too, so I understand your pain. Can't you enlarge your type on your ipad like we can on other devices? Where to go to do that, I don't know. Do you utilize chrome or firefox when surfing the net? If so, you can change the percentages on the settings on either one of them.
