Incident #2 in the Hospital

Time to share my second story from my recent horror of a stay in the psych unit. This one might not seem so awful, but it sets up the third story. So, my outside case manager was supposed to be coming to see me on my second day in the hospital. I was really looking forward to it as I like my case manager a lot, she's very nice and we get along well. I waited and waited that morning but she never showed up. Due to the rainy weather, I got worried and called her. She asked if I'd gotten her message and I said no. It turns out that an hour previously, she'd called the nurse's desk and asked them to tell me she wouldn't make it there that morning, but would try to come later in the day. I was never given the message and I was ticked! I went to my nurse and asked why I was never told, she wouldn't even tell me. I said maybe it would be a good idea for staff to write down phone messages to ensure patients got them, She got wide eyed as can be and yelled, “NO! We already have enough to do!” I angrily said that maybe one of those things needed to be providing better patient care and stalked off to my room to cry. Her male counterpart came by a few minutes later to talk to me, He said my plan of closing myself up in my room to cry and then take a nap was stubborn. Actually, it was what I needed to do to cope with my case manager not coming and then that incident occurring. I didn't know later that the female nurse would get revenge on me for daring make a suggestion on how she do her job.
