NZ Parent Category Visa application

When I opened my email today, I got an email from my older daughter informing me that the application she told me to accomplish in December last year (which she brought back with her to New Zealand in January for submission) was returned because there is a revised form for the said application effective April 2016. New Zealand is one country which keeps on updating its immigration forms. More than a year ago, when I filed for a Visitor's Visa for my wife and myself, I also had to change my application because they had a revised form when I submitted it. My daughter wanted my wife and I to apply for a Resident Visa under the Parent Category so that we can do away with applying for Visitor Visas whenever she and her younger sister wanted us to visit them in New Zealand. I still have many things to attend to, like the Technical Working Group meeting of our cooperative tonight (we're finalizing plans to put up a medium-sized hotel), so I will have to set aside the resident visa application and accomplish it when I'm free. NZ can wait :)

It is a very wonderful thing having sweet and thoughtful daughters who still look after their parents even they are already successful. You and your wife are very blessed to be given daughters like them. I do not know much about NZ but for sure it is a wonderful country. I hope all the best for you and your family.

@sunrisefan You are blessed. They are daughters you can be proud of. I am also lucky to have an alias which is the same as that of your daughter. I wonder if we are in same age though. By the way it is also a good thing that you and your wife do not have a fear of riding an airplane. I wish I could bring my mom with me when I go abroad but she cannot ride an airplane. She has this extreme fear of heights.

Thanks, Ms. Annie (my older daughter's nickname is Annie too). Our daughters have always been blessings to us since they were babies :)

So , you are a man . I was thinking that you are a woman . Now , i know . Anyway , good for you because your children are all grown ups and are living in New Zealand . At least , you can always go there for a visit when they want you to , or when you and your wife wants to.

No, it's for our multi-cooperative. We have excess funds and we have an idle lot at the back of our Head Office building.

@hereandthere I wanted it to be 5 floors but I was over-ruled and they wanted it to be 4. It will be connected with our Head Office building and it's within the city. It will only be a medium-sized hotel and we've budgeted over a hundred million for it. We also have one subdivision which has been fully sold out and occupied and we're on the planning stage for the second. There are just a few hitches due to intrusion into the property. We also had invested in a few lots at a memorial park.

You won't regret spending your vacation in New Zealand. About the hotel, Ms. Wilma, we're still constructing it. In fact, it will still be a long process - building plans and drawings, bidding process, building permits, and many others. It's the funds that we're ready with.

It is a problem when you have to do paperwork more than once.

Not in a hurry though. Besides, I really don't want to leave house here. I just filled up the application to satisfy my daughters.

There are so many Indians whose children have settled abroad and the children prefer that they get a resident visa the only hassle being they need to get back each time they return to their native place.
