One of the things i don't like is being disturbed while eating. And earlier, was one of "meals being disturbed". The culprit? Hiccup. Yeah, i don't know why it always happen when i eating. Sigh. Did some a little search of.the possible cause and i saw one that it makes me...well. Here it is... "If a person eats too fast, he or she can swallow air along with food and end up with the hiccups." *an article.says* Okay, am guilty. Now, i will try to eat slowly. Have you had any.hiccups.while eating? Or always had hiccups? Any remedy?

As a child I'd have a teaspoon of sugar if I got hiccups. I don't think it helped but I liked sugar!

I think it's the swallowing as such, not the sugar, that helps.

I haven't had hiccups for a long time. I remember when we were kids and got them, my dad would do something to startle or scare us and that usually did the trick.

Savor every bite! Once I've got it, none of the "cures" work for me.

I've had two remedies for them. One works all the time. Hold your breath and take 10 sips of water or other liquid. Do not take a breath while you are taking those 10 sips. Works every time. At least for me.
