Nine o'clock and still light

Oh I do like the spring and summer months in the UK, the long evenings and the warmer weather. There is something special about that extended time at the end of the day, it's like a daylight bonus. Sitting in the slowing embers of the day, beer in hand...what could be better? And it means I get to play a bit more golf :) Do you live in a country that has long summer evenings. What do you do with the extra light? Later

Hi John I wish we had long summer evenings, but it's never light much beyond 7:00pm here. Right now it's already dark by 6:00pm, which isn't much fun. It's only autumn and I'm really not looking forward to winter.

@ison_1 I'm fine. How are you? Yes we have hot summers, and this one was hotter than normal. I love hot weather so it didn't bother me, but it was all a bit much for my Mom. The trouble is that she doesn't like winter either. Any extreme bothers her.

We do have long summer evenings here. So easy to be out and about enjoying nature with the extra light. My dad was still golfing at age 88 and was really good too. The man was always golfing when I grew up. My brother is a great golfer too. Me, nope!

@ison_1 I remember my dad was in the 55 and over league in his late 80s and I would go to the award dinners with him and Dad was always the top golfer in the whole bunch. I hope you golf for a very long time because Dad is now 95 and doing well. Let's thank golf for that.

I remember when I was little and had to go to bed in daylight - I would read a book.
