I went to the store and got some plants. I grabbed a few tomato, pepper, lettuce and peas. I will begoing back to a different store and getting the herbs as this store hasn't had much of anything. But they were $1.29 each and has 4 plants per container.

You live up north. I imagine you can still plant things like lettuce and peas. My climate gets hot pretty rapidly so I should have planted lettuce a good month ago. Heat causes lettuce to bolt. That's a decent price for four plants.

We had snow yesterday . You don't plant anything before June 1.

@ricki_911 You must have a short growing season. Lettuce, peas, chard, all that would do well in your cooler climate, I'd think.

I've got my vegetable garden ready and will plant tomatoes, peppers, squash and cucumber soon. It's too cold to start planting now. What kind of herbs are you going to plant?

I usually do dill, cilantro, parsley, mint, lavendar, etc. Yes, I currently have them indoors as it still g ets frost outside.

@ricki_911 Sounds good. I love to plant basil and my Mom's garden has dill and parsley. I think I might try peppermint this year.

That's a good start for a vegetable garden for the summer.
