Our biggest mall here in Delaware opened at 3am this morning. Can you believe that there were about 20,000 people that showed up to shop that early? What is your opinion on this? Would you do something like that? I was shocked by how many people showed up. Are people crazy or what? :-)

People automatically assume that if they go at such a bizarre time then they will be able to shop in peace. Of course the same thought occurs to so many people that it becomes the busiest time of the day.
This is similar to the practice of sleeping outside a major store in order to be the first person in the shop when the sale starts. I like the idea of a bargain, but I would pay a higher price rather than become so desperate.

One of our malls here in Mississippi opened at 5am yesterday morning. I don't know how many people turned up that early because I was NOT in the crowd. LOL I am not sure what people are thinking when they are driven to fight crowds of that magnitude, especially so early in the morning, but they must have something they are afraid of missing out on. HAHA

Well, there are people that think that is the only thing Black Friday is good for is shopping. I have considered doing it from time to time, but not sure it is worth it.

I can believe it. It was the same around here. We have some outlets near us that opened at midnight. They were so crowded that it tied up traffic in all directions for miles. They had to call in extra police to help with the traffic situation. Crazy is right. I was where I should be at midnight. Home sleeping off my turkey dinner.

They are just out to get as much money as they can from us consumers. I would never join in this, I truly hate Black Friday. All the pushing and shoving, and nastiness that happens because ppl are all wanting the same and just "have" to have it. No thanks, I will totally pass on this!

I wouldn't know what the world looked like at 3:00 AM! LOL
First of all, I think that some people will go out at any hour for the sales and excitement. I know for some of my friends, shopping at those hours is more for the "rush" than the good prices and deals.
I can't imagine 20,000 people at a mall that early. On another note, my sister waited in line at one store from 2 AM - 6 AM on the day after Thanksgiving...she is one who will...
