Insomnia is Evil.

I haven't slept in twenty-four hours and my eyes are so heavy. I'm so tired, but every time I go lay down my body makes me pop right back up and I'm right where I started. I know it's going to be a tough day, but now I need to push through the whole day so I don't get on a bad schedule. I really hope everyone else got to sleep. I'd hate if the whole world got insomnia. How's your Thursday going?

You have the right idea of not going to sleep now since that will cause difficulty falling asleep and staying asleep tonight. With insomnia, the more getting up and the more tossing and turning just exacerbates the problem. Practicing motionless lying is the key to developing a good pattern of sleeping. Sleep will come in snatches at first, but eventually a full-night's sleep results. Sounds simple, but it is not easy.

I suffer with this as well. I had to get a medication to put me to sleep.

I don´t suffer from insomnia. Regularly, I fall asleep just minutes after I close my eyes. This has not been like this all my life, since at any given stage in my life, I also suffered from insomnia; however, it´s just a matter of concentration.
