Dog Having Surgery

I think I wrote here before that one of our dogs tore her ACL ligament a bit ago. We were trying to avoid surgery but it tore to the point there is no option. Today was the surgery consult and surgery is scheduled for Wednesday! Unfortunately, I begin a temporary job on Monday so my mom will be handling a lot of this on her own. I feel bad but I'm already committed to this job through the end of June and I can't back out. So, we are going to have a hurting puppy for awhile, but she's already been hurting so I guess it can't be much worse. From what we're being told – recovery time will be about a month. So surgery for the pup on her knee now and surgery for me on my mouth later this summer!

So sorry you and your pup need surgery. Hopefully you can keep the pup calm and quiet until she's healed.

That's a dog for ya @Lolaze no matter how painful they're gonna chase those wabbits.

@rebelann Especially when those wabbits like to use her as a hurdle. Yes, the rabbits around here are crazy and actually jump OVER the dogs to entice them to chase them.

Thanks! That is going to be a challenge. Daisy is one full of life little dog, even hopping on 3 legs recently she's not slowed down one bit.

Poor puppy @Lolaze . One thing about a dog; at least they have 3 other legs to work with while us humans are screwed.

So true! I remember when I injured my ankle very severely some years back, I wished I had extra legs to hop around on!

@Lolaze LOL, yeah, no kidding. We get to use inconvenient things like canes or walkers.

I hope your dog heals quickly. I hope you also heal quickly.
