Can you ever have too much in your pantry??

I swear, my husband knows the prices of things at the supermarket like there is no tomorrow!! I have already emptied two bookshelves so that we have more space for food... yes, this is one tiny house! Anyway, hubby told darling daughter last night that she should pick up more tins of beans on her way home from work, because they are on sale. She pointed out that we already have 7 cans on the shelf and we really don't need any more... especially if we get the word that we are going to move again. So, what do you think? If the price of an item is really good, to you buy it whether you need it or not?? I'm kind of sitting on the fence about this one!!

Im on half salary because im half invalid so money is always tight, if/when i see something l know does not have a quick expiry date and it`s on sale, l will buy it, l also think of tighter months when l even have less money. If l did not go to the shops today, im sure l`ll be fine 6 months from because l have the food stuffs i need apart from very few items. So yes if the price is right, buy it

It all depends on what the item is, tins of beans I would not buy any more. We have to pantries and they are pretty full as we had stocked up on a lot of cans and boxes to put in there.

@Hate2Iron It could be a problem eating dry cereal all the time.

I think that what we have downstairs would feed us quite comfortably for a few months... okay, eating dry cereal could be a problem. ;)

If I knew that I was going to move soon, no, I would not stock up.

If you've got the money, I don't see a problem. It's always good to have an extra store of foods for emergencies. Is your husband secretly a prepper?

I don't mind having a few extra tins of this, that and other but there are limits. We buy small cans of tuna by the dozen but I know they'll get eaten and they are not often on special.
