Leaving Earth was hard for Jason, Jake and Monroe. They had to make haste as the nukes were headed down on the plains of Midamerica. The Central gateway to the New World Order had been closed by zone guardians and the only way out was up. The Omega One was ready for take off and the crew of 3 were about to lift off. All systems are checked and it's time for the 30 second countdown. Guys' its time to say good bye to mother Earth and hello to the Spaceport Gateway that orbits the planet at the end of one of the only still functional space elevators. Hopefully the doors are not locked. We have to get out of this zone before all hell breaks loose! Jason, Jake and Monroe were ready, willing and able to launch. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, Liftoff! Only moments later after they were within docking distance from Earthgate they managed to slow down their engines and go into silent coasting mode to dock at the main portal. They had no idea who was still on board but they had to hurry and reach the docking portal and get out and find the few remaining shuttles that would take them to Stardock 11 where a 100 person star ship waited, fully fueled and equipped to travel to the Kepler Region where hopefully they would be able to travel to one of the planetary groups listed on their books as suitable for human life and already occupied by humans from the year 2050. The year was 2075 and it had been 25 years since any person from planet Earth had been on any of these planets. Why so long? You know, politics and funds lacking in that department. They had the equipment, the manpower, the desire but their governments were too far gone, too much involved in international wars. end of book one.
