The Denver Post reports the news that the Colorado Rockies have activated from the 15 day disabled list left handed starting pitcher Jorge De La Rosa. De La Rosa had been placed on the 15 day disabled list on April 27, 2016 with a strain on his left groin. The Boston Red Sox will be hosting the Colorado Rockies in the first of a three game series to be played at Fenway Park in Boston Massachusetts starting on Tuesday. The Rockies optioned right handed starting pitcher Jordan Lyles to their AAA minor league team the Albuquerque Isotopes for a second time in 2016. Lyles had a pitching record of one win and two losses with an earned run average of 8.55 in five starts which was one reason he was sent back to the minor leagues. De La Rosa has a pitching record of one win and three losses with an earned run average of 10.18 during the 2016 baseball season.

De La Rosa got off to a bad start but he's a long time pro and Lyles wasn't much better.

The Rockies are better off going with De La Rosa who is a veteran pitcher than Lyles at this point in time.

He's still our best pitcher in recent years m. I'm glad he's back.
