I went to the hospital for my check-up again. I thought the PTPA will increase, but it did not, instead, it went lower at 1.61mg/dl. Last month, it was 1.93mg/dl. My normal range should be 2-3mg/dl. My cardiologist asked me if I eat dark green leafy vegetables; I told him no, so he revised my Coumadin intake again. Now, I feel weak with what I learned. I think I will call it a night and go to sleep after we finish our meals. But I will be back tomorrow morning to check on your discussions my friends. Have a good and sound night.

wow that is even worse, I thought i had it worse when I research and found out even some vegetables have high purine which was not allowed because of my uric acid problem. I hope the doctor makes it right this time in giving you medication.

@cacay1 here is what I have found " Purines are natural substances found in all of the body's cells, and in virtually all foods. The reason for their widespread occurrence is simple: purines provide part of the chemical structure of our genes and the genes of plants and animals. A relatively small number of foods, however, contain concentrated amounts of purines. For the most part, these high-purine foods are also high-protein foods, and they include organ meats like kidney, fish like mackerel, herring, sardines and mussels, and also yeast. uric acid serves as an antioxidant and helps prevent damage to our blood vessel linings, so a continual supply of uric acid is important for protecting our blood vessels." unfortunately, I have too much of it which caused me joint pains like rheumatism..they said if i don't contain this, it might lead to diabetes. or like my dad who's on dialysis.

@cacay1 for the rheumatic heart disease that i have, i must avoid dark green leafy vegetables. i should also take foods that are low is salt, low in fat, and also less sugar. cooking oil should not be animal fat but vegetable oil. i should not eat fried foods, but broiled or roasted.

thanks much, my dear. i don't know any reason why it went down again. i guess i have to believe that PTPA results are not at all stable, but fluctuate in a daily basis. but i don't expect to be that low.

@hereandthere not necessarily. wounds heal but the bleeding stops longer than the normal 2-3 seconds. the thrombocytes are slow-paced.
