Why The Horse was one happy camper yesterday afternoon!

As some of you know, I like to make coasters out of raw guitar sound holes, cut from the spruce tops of actual acoustic guitars as they're being made.
A month or two ago, Collings Guitars of Austin Texas, an elite manufacturer of acoustic guitars, sent me a box full of raw sound holes for free. I promised to send them some coasters once I'm done.
Only yesterday did I finally open the box. I've been kind of busy lately. I'll attach a picture of what I saw when I opened the box. To you, it may look like at bunch of Spruce disks. But to me, it looked like gold, or at least a bunch of tiny canvases for art.
Have you had any similar happy moments lately?

No, I'm not a visual artist at all. But refinishing wood things and even making coasters gave me an outlet where what I made would be "material." Psychology is so abstract. So is teaching. But a pair of coasters is a pair of coasters.

Pretty substantial-looking holes in that carton (or box). Hearing that my mum was sitting up in an armchair and able to verbally answer most of the clues in the daily paper's crossword made me happy today. She suffered a stroke 5weeks ago, and is slowly regaining her speech and the strength in the affected side of her body, with much speech and physio therapy still to come.

Nice of this company to seen you these. Yes, I have had a few happy-happy-joy-joy moments lately. My daughter rode her bike to get a food box so we would have some food and she found a guy in the neighborhood who needs some work done and is paying her to help him demolish a house near by.

@TheHorse ....She is 44. She has a learning disability and is bi-polar. I live here to help her raise her son.

@celticeagle That's great that something came up. What will her role in the demolition be?

I am glad for you because you are enjoying what you do. My mind has been baffled with many things. Well, those things are what makes me busy because I am too much excited for it. And actually, I hope it will be June soon. I try to be happy every single day. Life is beautiful and every day is a step closer to my dreams.

@TheHorse I wanted to be a writer and I have been practicing how to voice out my thought because I have been keeping it inside me for such a long time. Yes, it is very importanf to be very grateful everyday for too many blessings that come our way.

@TheHorse You are getting something, all right, pony... I'm just not sure weepy is the word for it! (I'm thinking full of shiite, but I MIGHT be wrong! I doubt if I am, but anything is possible at this point!)
I think a pair of them would look very nice on my glass coffee table when you finish them... Just saying... (grinning at you!)

Here's a happy one for you. I went to visit my doctor for an annual check in to see how my asthma is doing. After we talked, he added two prescriptions to my routine. One is for allergies and the other asthma. The allergy meds are working already. They are fantastic. I breathe better and sleep much better too. I just can't wait for the asthma meds to start working (they take a few weeks). See? Good news.

@TheHorse It's nice not to have leaky eyes and a drippy nose each morning.

@TheHorse I guess a start would be to check out others on sale. Then think about how long they take, how much 'stuff' - don't know why I'm saying all this. I'm sure you're perfectly capable of working it out! Note to self - engage brain before putting mouth in gear.
