I Hate Summer!

When everyone else is lauding all the attributes of summer I'm wishing it were any season but, well maybe not any, but as soon as the snow is melted and spring is in full throttle, so is all the construction.
I had counseling this morning. I congratulated myself on leaving early so I wouldn't be rushing to get there on time. Yeah right. Detours all over downtown Green Bay. So my way was blocked and hindered due to construction and I got there with just a couple minutes to spare.
It would be great to get through summer without construction somewhere. But the city has to be doing roadwork, and new buildings need to be built, and highways need work.
It seems like we have two main seasons here - winter and construction. At least there's one good season I can rely on for beauty. Just too bad it's still six months away.
Oh well. So ends my rant for the day.
Is there a lot of construction going on where you are?

I was wondering why you didn´t like Summer, but I can understand now. I like sun, but I don´t like detours and roads blocked.

I hear ya. We are having major bridge construction in the southern part of the city. It is a main artery of the city and so businesses and traffic are being affected big time. It will continue through the rest of the summer. Heck, the bridge was built in 1956 so it needs to be six lanes instead of two. Big difference.

I don't like Summer because of the heat but there is also a lot of construction here too. And that is frustrating as well.

The main thiing I dislike about Summer here is unbearable heat . It is not warm.It is hot.And definitely the constructions,roadwork and the road blocks.

@just4him Yes,the heat here is unbearable.We are expecting the Monsoon rains from June 10.But then those rains are another story.

Summer is not my favorite,too! Lol
When i was a kid, i would look forward to it because i could hang out and play with much gusto. But these days I hate it.It gets too hot! Just few days ago, i have hives on my neck and back.
