That One Big Step

What do you feel was the biggest step you've ever taken? Was it asking out your now spouse? Was it going back to school after many years out? How about taking a job you really loved, but the pay wasn't that good? What would seem like a big step to one person might seem trivial to another, but only you know when you've got to some kind of turning point. A turning point that perhaps led you somewhere you never thought you'd be. What was it for you?

Mine was getting married - I'd never wanted to, but then met the right man. So what was it for you?

I think it was skipping my last two years of high school and going to college at sixteen.

That is an interesting thing to think about. I always see all the little steps that led me to where I am today and kind of marvel at that.

Sometimes just continuously taking small steps is, overall, the biggest step. Surviving and thriving..

That would be to retire and move to another state. That was a big step to take.

For me it was that wonderful feeling of falling in love and knowing that there would never ever be any turning back, it was so great, there are hardly words for it, but like a feather dropping down to a soft landing and I knew that this was the rest of my life. I had never ever felt anything so undiscribably wonderful and sweet, there are hardly words even come close to it. And I felt the very same way when I held our son for the very first time.

@AmbiePam Biggest step I ever took was when I left behind my family and home in Germany and moved across the ocean to the United States to start a new life.

Not sure if anything I've done would be considered a big step---maybe finally getting the nerve to get out of my very abusive first marriage.\I consider this mission trip I am going on to be a big step.

Getting a full time job after basically 10 years of either staying home or working part-time. I was terrified I wouldn't be able to handle it. I am handling it allright.. I get pretty stressed out sometimes, but that happens with any job really.

When i resigned my job for more than 15 years and become a housewife for more than 4 years . That's the biggest leap i ever had and have to retract it and become employed again .

Seems like the hardest thing I did was say yes to a family. I was terrified of having that first child

I can't really think of anything too big. I guess getting married was pretty big.
