R.I.P. Mike & Molly

Mike & Molly was the story of Mike Biggs (Billy Gardell,) and Molly Flynn (Melissa McCarthy,) who fall in love after meeting at Overeater's Anonymous. The sitcom ran on CBS from 2010 to, well, now. The show had a top-notch cast with impeccable comic chemistry. I thought every character was funny and had something to offer, but my favorite was Vince (Louis Mustillo,) the boyfriend (later, husband) of Molly's mom Joyce (Swoozie Kurtz.) Vince is a well-intentioned man who will say whatever pops into his head, and has no boundaries when doing so. He pretty much cracked me up whenever he was on screen. We didn't start watching the show until a couple years ago, so we did have to catch up in syndication. Other than sports, I don't watch a lot of TV, but Mike & Molly was one I tried not to miss. I'll miss the laughs. At least, until I get it on DVD.

I was kind of sad to see the show end. I didn't watch every episode. But I did still enjoy it. I thought it was good. It's sad when shows end, but such is life.

@teamfreak16 who knows why. But it's just the way it is.

I've heard that CBS did not want to renew the contract with Warner Brothers, and I've heard that Melissa McCarthy lost so much weight that she's no longer the character. Who knows?

@teamfreak16 McCarthy has lost a lot of weight, I saw the new McCathry on TV just a few days ago. She made it big in spite of the weight, you don't see that often on TV or movies.

Never seen this one, I think the last US comedy I really enjoyed was Frasier

Frasier was great. We watched a bunch of it on DVD not too long ago.

Thought I would listen to the critics. This says otherwise. 6.8 is what they give the show are they wrong?

Is 6.8 good? I think it's a funny show, but I have seen a few negative comments about the show in this thread. Which is fine, it's not everyone's cup of tea.

@crossbones27 - High average. I think it's better than that, but then again, I have a weird sense of humor and find all sorts of things funny that many don't. My girlfriend gives me grief because I still watch Beavis and Butt-Head at my age.

I am not a watcher of sitcoms and Mike & Molly was definitely not my cup of tea. If I have to watch a sitcom, I will take I Love Lucy or Married with Children,

I love Married with Children. Al is one of my favorite characters of all time. My girlfriend doesn't care much for it, so I don't get to watch it a lot, but I do get to watch it sometimes.

I think it's a pretty funny show. Chuck Lorre from Two and a Half Men and The Big Bang Theory is a producer.

I only watched it one night because I was bored (well, we were bored) and there was nothing else to do. I'm glad we did, because we got a lot of laughs.

It's a funny show, but, judging by the comments, not for everyone. Which is how it should be.

I've never seen it but it sounds like a great show. I'm bad. Once my shows (Friends, Will & Grace) went off of the air, I never bothered to try to find anything to replace them and I basically stopped watching anything but Food Network.

My girlfriend loves Friends and Will & Grace. Me, not so much. But she watches them everyday. I just do other things. I can see not wanting to start over and get all involved in a new show.

Is Mike and Molly going off, I hope not it's one of my favorites. I love Melissa McCarthy in everything she appears in. I saw a movie with McCarthy and Sandra bullock last week. I enjoyed it very much.
