Has anyone read the book or seen the movie? What are your thoughts on the theories expounded in the book?

Yes, the book is excellent. And I always think that once you read a book, you are never satisfied with a movie based on the book because it is never the same

I think the Da Vinci Code is a well written form of literature. As to is it real or just a fictional story,we all will be judges of it (being the ones who read it). They actually have a discussion here that when you read the book you might end up questioning your faith. As for me, I think that it is all making it too much of a fuss.. The movie is not as exciting as the book!

Well said! Too bad I have already given away the 'best response' tag.

i think the book is a good work of fiction; its well written and nice to read, though the movie perhaps could have been better...as for the theories - i don't think all of them have sound historical base though i do admire brown's imagination and creativity and ability to come up with controversial ideas!

I think that is the main credential to become a good fiction writer - imagination. Without that there would not be any fiction books - all text books and biographys. So boring!

I haven't read the book but i think the theories are fictitious.I really do not believe that mother Mary is the wife of Jesus. It is just a novel written by an imaginative mind.

The movie is different from the book. They change up a lot of the scenes. It was the good parts too. I don't know why they had to change it for.

I don't believe them, it's more of a fiction to me. I feel sorry wasting my time on it. have a nice day!

I have read the book and seen the movie. I loved the book, and I liked the movie. I was disappointed that some of the scenes were changed, but I understand that it's common in a lot of movies. The book was way more exciting.
