Wearing the same jeans throughout the week

If I were to wear a pair of jeans and wash them everytime I wore them - it would be a lot of washing and my jeans would wear down a lot faster. Depending on the occasion, I'll wear my jeans 2 or 3 times before washing but not continuously as I don't wear jeans on the daily... But if I wore the jeans to like say the park, sat in the grass or something then I'll wash it. Because I have allergies. But knowing me, if I like a pair of jeans, or even a shirt, jacket, top, anything I will buy duplicates! Now, there was an ex co-worker where everyone noticed he wore the same exact camo pants to work every single day. Given we don't see him on the weekends - I gave him the benefit of the doubt, they could be duplicates. But other co workers Mentioned a stain that remained throughout the week. My co workers are very observant. Do you observe people's clothes? I guess as long as they don't have an odor it should be fine. Preferably they'd change a few times though out the week. However, we don't know their living conditions and etc.

I think if it were that very obvious everyone would notice without really being observant hahaha! I rarely wear jeans but when I do, I think I wear them twice before finally throwing them in the laundry basket. I wear jeans when going to the mall sometimes so they don't get really dirty.

I don't often wear jeans, but when I do - I'll wear them a few times before throwing them in the wash. I don't wear them for long since I prefer other pants. The print as camo so it was very obvious lol.

I admire people who wear clothes fashionably. Whether they got it from a magazine or their own style. I always look up to people who knows how to dress up themselves whether their using the same pants every day as long as it's not stink. I sometimes wear the same pants twice.

I will wear my pants/jeans over but not usually the following day. I don't mind either, I wouldn't have noticed but since it's not the normal fabric it's a print you cannot miss, camo.

I notice the same old drab outfit one of our choir conductors wears. I want to burn it. I will wear my pants for a few days without washing unless I spill something on them. Shirts, if I sweat, usually only get worn once. My husband can wear the same clothes for a week if he is working because he changes into work clothes at work so the clothes he wears are only on him going to and from work. My younger daughter drives me nuts with putting on an outfit to wear to church and then putting it in the wash. She only had it on for an hour and a half! I never put dress pants in the wash unless they get dirty. They are too hard to iron and I'm afraid of ruining them.

@infatuatedbby And then there are those days when I'm wearing my home clothes and then decide to go out so change into something a little more presentable... or the weather changes on a dime and I have to change due to temperature. I end out with a pile of clothes on the end of my dresser.

Ha-ha! I hope the choir conductor changes his outfit *soon*. My co-workers would make bets if the guy would change his pants or not. My mom would be upset if I had clothes on for not even a few hours and toss it in the wash. Now, that I do my laundry. I wait until it's dirty or worn for a reasonable time. If I sweat or like gym clothes, I change all the time and have it washed but for jeans or clothes just to run to the store or what not, they're still good so I hang it on my hooks behind the wall (of my room) so I have selection.

@patgalca I end up with a pile too. The weather is getting unpredictable where I live. One day its sunny, next it's gloomy. Then it was sprinkling today too.

I don't often pay attention to other's clothes. But some people seem to have talent about it. Such as they will recognize when you wear the clothes and that's so amazing. As to the odor, here seldom people have this problem. So actually it is fine that we don't use the perfume at all.

Some people need the mist or perfume, Cologne here lol. But I'm glad no odors are common where you live!

I actually read that jeans were meant to not be washed after each wearing. I am picky about washing my clothing as well, as I don't have a lot of clothing - as long as I didn't get sweaty or hot in things I will wear them a second time before washing them.

I read the article from Levis saying jeans aren't supposed to be washed often! I wear mine a few times before washing as long as it's not dirty or sweaty as well.

@infatuatedbby - I met a guy one time who frowned and complained ALL the time. Turned out that he had a genetic problem. It was all due to his "blue genes."

I think there are people like to wear same type of clothes everyday. It is because they don't like to think about what to wear everyday. Sometimes, I also don't want to think about it.

I am not too observant, but if it is something that co worker would wear on a daily basis, and something hard to miss like a pair of camo pants, then even I would notice it. Our office is pretty relax since we are in an industrial area. Everyone can wear casual outfits daily, except when we have to go to the headquarters.

If it was your standard blue, black jeans I would probably not notice or slacks but came print - you are right - it is hard to miss.

I have a bad habit of wearing any piece of clothing only once which means lost of energy consumption using the washing machine and dryer, but I can't seem to help it

I only notice when the outfits are out of norm. Otherwise I have the tendency to not even remember the color of the dress they wear much less the design patterns. lol

Yes, in this case it was a pattern you cannot miss and will not forget.

I do buy duplicates too, sometimes in the same color. We have sales in January, l bought 5 pairs of jeans all same color make etc. Also do buy duplicates on tops but l try to have them in different colours which is not always possible with jeans. I have never observed what other people wear to work as we have to change when we get to work.

I don't wear the same clothes everyday either. Pajamas I will repeat but not clothes I wear out especially in a work environment.

It could be that every time he arrived home, he immediately washed the jeans, put it in the dryer and wore it again the next day and so on LOL!
