I wish that he would buzz off

We plant our garden to encourage bees - especially bumble bees. From spring through to autumn you can hear a steady background thrum of bees buzzing around the garden, sucking up the nectar and having fun. Today though one of the little furry beasts has flown into the bedroom and got himself completely confused. He's been buzzing for the last 5 minutes and I've just been letting him try to figure it out himself but if it lasts much longer, I'm going to morph into my alter-ego Bumble-girl and rescue the little fella. If he's too dumb to figure out where he needs to go, I guess I'm going t have to help him out.

There's nothing to be scared of with bees. They never sting unless they have to. Wasps are a different matter but I'm not bothered by them either.

They are great little bees and not at all aggressive, glad you are helping him out.

That's such a shame. Maybe they didn't spot your garden yet.

@Ronrybs What did you plant to attract them? Maybe they're not flowering yet.

I was stung by a bumble bee a few years ago. Turned out to be more painful than a regular bee sting. So much for their deceptively cute and fluffy apperance.

So what did you do to the poor little furry fella to get him to sting you? Looking at your cat in your photo, it reminds me of when my old cat decided to take on a bumble bee and stomped on it repeatedly in the garden. She came in with one normal front paw and one that had blown up to twice the normal size.

@boiboing I was filling my watering can from a rain water storage tank and he must have crawled up my trouser leg while I was standing there. Not the best place to be stung as I had to strip of my pants to find him and get him out. And yes Morph played with a bee or wasp one day when he was only a year or two old. One of his huge paws was even bigger than normal.

I love to see bumble bees in the GARDEN where they belong. I came home and my study was covered in bees. Obviously the queen had come in and they followed her. It was quite a feat to get to the window to open it wider without treading on any. After about an hour the whole lot had gone thankfully!

hehehe I think that bee lost its way. How nice of you there.I seldom see a bee here in our place now so crowded with commercial buildings.I also no longer see butterflies. I long to see yellow butterflies. Our forest here is kilometer away, plus risky of bad elements that may hide there.
