When Love Sucks

You came in a flash And immediately You're gone. You caused havoc To my being I felt like a pawn. I gave you my blood When you thirst For it. Stopped myself A million times Not to scratch the itch. Was afraid To hurt you with The palm of my hand. The bittersweet love You offered I tried to withstand. But you left Like the others once You got what you need. Didn't linger One second though I cried and plead. Loving is not giving But just taking And breaking. I never should Have loved you Now I'm empty, aching. (An ode to a mosquito who bit me a long time ago. )

It's a very nice poem, though bug bites really suck, especially sand nats or as my mother used to call them no seem', because you felt them but didn't see them. Misquitos though are the worst.
