Whats The Point Of Making A Discussion Then Not Responding???

West Haven, Connecticut
May 31, 2016 10:50am CST
Im baffled as to why someone would take the time out to make a discussion then after receiving over 12 repsonses, not respond to anyone. I even went to see other post the same person made and it was the same, lots of comments but no feedback from the person who wrote the discussion. Im guessing they are just dropping discussions here and running off to another site ect. It makes no sense to me whatsoever!

This same thing has been written about a lot lately. You can't make someone do something. The best advice is if they don't do what you think they should do - then don't read their stuff.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX That's the best way to handle it. They don't care one way or another.

Are they new here? Maybe they don't realize how things work here yet? I don't know, just thinking of why they might do that.

@LovingMyBabies yeah and alot of their post looked copy and pasted from other blogging sites, they might just be posting material they have written for other sites and making a few pennies off whatever their discussion generates them on here ect

They might be busy or haven't logged in yet -but- I know what you mean, some don't respond at all. I guess they don't know the best way is interacting?

Whoever it is obviously has no idea what the word 'discussion' means.

Pretty much, Im guessing they are just copying and pasting material to earn a few pennies

My guess would be that they are only here for the money, not to participate.

Yeah that explains it, they still wont earn nothing that way

maybe that person will respond when he or she has the time to. Some people start a discussion then leave and when they come back that's the time they respond. But i know someone who starts a discussion and never respond to any comments. Wha the does is comment back on people who have commented on hers in their discussion which i find very odd.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX wow, they probably don't like all the comments that were made or maybe all the comments were the same so they thought they need not respond to all.

@toniganzon I usually respond even if it is negative. There was one I stopped answering, he said I was not entitled to my opinion and to shut up. I won't respond to what he writes anymore.

I guess it could happen, I haven't been around, I been busy with life at home mostly, sometimes I don't come back for 4 or 5 days.. I never set out to not be here but it just happens. I will always come back then respond to everyone.

I don't know who did that, but sometimes life happens. Things happen that you have no control over. If I post a discussion, I try to stay around and answer as many responders as possible. If I am too tired, I will go back and get the rest first thing in the morning.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX Yes, that is the decent and proper thing to do. If you usually don't respond back to someone, why should they read and respond to your posts? Sometimes, I mess up and forget to get back to someone or just miss them somehow, but I do try to respond.

Same here, I could even take two days to respond but always respond back to those who took the time to read and comment on my discussions

It happened to me one time that I was making comments on Discussions of a person which came one after the other in a matter of minutes. The person never answered till I slept. However, the following day, I got some responses from the person. He must have been busy responding to others and left me out that night.
