~I Am Proud Of Her~

My oldest daughter is 10 years old. She got some shorts from a friend since they didn't fit her anymore. She put them on this morning and in the pocket was $5. She pulled it out and said I need to give this back to my friend. I am very proud of her for saying she needs to give it back to her friend! Some would just keep it and not say anything so I am happy. =) We must be doing something right! Have your kids made you proud lately?

That's so thoughtful of her. It's funny my eldest wanted to count her money the other day, and told my husband that she wanted to go to the store and buy milk with that money. I thought that was so sweet. The story of your daughter reminded me of what my daughter did yesterday, or the day before.

That must give you the warm fuzzies. My grandson is always showing me just what a nice fellow he is. We can have words and things can get heated but, he will come to me a while later and apologize. That always makes me feel good. Kids are great!

@infatuatedbby You know you never truly know if your doing things right until something like that happens. Then you take a sigh of relief and say thank God they are understanding what I am teaching them!

That obviously speaks highly of both her standards as well as her relationship with her friend. Good for her! Our son makes us proud every day it seems. He comes to us for advise and thanks us for things that most families do not thank each other for, that makes us proud.

Its so nice to hear about kids being honest and sincere nowadays. Of course you are doing right. I'm sure my 16-year old son would have done the same because in our family too, honesty and sincerity is emphasized upon

You and your husband should be very proud of her. So many kids in her generation are not like her. My kids make me proud everyday. My oldest started a new job yesterday and already they are putting him on his own today he did so well yesterday. He also still has his other job, so another 11 hour day for him like yesterday but he really needs the money.
