Do you think Alastair Cook can surpass sachin tendulkar as all time higheat test run scorer?

Alastair Cook has recently become the youngest cricketer to score 10000 runs in test. Sunil gavaskar thinks this English batsman can break Sachin's record of highest test runs. Two things in favor of cook are he is young 31 years old and England plays lot of test cricket. Records are there to be broken. But I wish if kohli does that. Your thoughts please....

Thanks for the discussion Vijay. Recently Sunil Gavaskar had said it is possible for cook to break Tendulkar's record. Whether he breaks the record or not he is a great batsman. One good thing about England and Australia is that they encourage young talents, people retire early. Where as in India and Sri Lanka cricketers go on and on. I remember Jayavardhana unnecessarily playing for 1 year more. It reduced his average in tests. Now Sri Lanka is losing everywhere. For the extra tests Sangakarra and Jayawardhana played, Sri Lanka could not nurture new talents. India also has same policy. Instead of looking for a young captain, India wants Dhoni to continue till 2019 world cup.
