Leave of Absence in Fatherhood?!?

I witnessed my friend and her husband having a discussion and I would like to share it with you.
Husband: Wife, I think I need 3 months vacation.
Wife: What? Can you repeat that again?
Husband: I want to have 3 months vacation from work and all. I just need a room to breathe. You take care of everything. I will take care of the kids.
To give you more input, the husband is the breadwinner of the family while the wife has been a stay at home mom ever since they found out that their youngest has a special need.
After a few minutes of silence, the wife says.
Wife: Okay, if that's what you want. I will apply for work tomorrow but I think I need to have 2 jobs, one at day time and one at night or home based maybe. Because for sure, I will not find a job with an equal salary as yours.
Just be sure you take care of the kids' needs, their homework and projects, the food to eat at home and at school. There will be times that you have to buy the food from the market since I will be working. For the laundry, I will help you at night when I got home. At weekends, I will be having my part time too.
Husband: No, I am taking it back. I will just work.
The exchange of words has been an amusing one for me. I know how hard it is to work for the family but as a mother myself, I know how big the responsibilities are. It does not stop in one end but it is a continuous cycle.

There is one thing missing - - "and I will be doing and dictate all the activities in bed, too!" . . the wife should have said.
