Just Watch Your Bum

I went to see my elderly dad. age 95, this morning at his assisted living facility. Dad's table mate during breakfast seemed like a very nice gentleman. I asked this fellow diner, in his late 80s or early 90s, his name. He replied, "You can call me Casey Jones, and I come from Alabama!" Sent Sis an email regarding this "nice" man, and Sis sent me a warning regarding Mr. Casey Jones. "Casey Jones, he was going after Helen one day, I thought he and Dad were going to come to blows. Casey is a pastor, his son took over the church in town, right over by Ace Hardware on Quincy. Casey is a flirt and a grabber. But he's nice...just watch your bum." So, the next time I run into Casey Jones, I will watch my bum! Image: Pixabay public domain (no attribution required)

I do not know who is flirting more in retirement homes : men are more rare than women and my father was always surrounded by many women. I believe it is a good reason to want to reach the century if you are a man. It is nice that you have still your dad. Mine has an Alzheimer disease in his last years, but he finally enjoyed the retirement home where he was...

I am sorry your Dad is no longer with you. My dad has dementia, and does really well during the day, but when "sun-downing," the time when those with dementia get really agitated in late afternoon or early evening, he can be a handful for staff. Got a call in the evening, and they said Dad was having a hard time and was very upset. I am just so glad that the staff is so experienced and can handle him.
