Why is time passing by so fast?

As we get older time does seem to just disappear faster than in our earlier years. Having Monday as a holiday here, many of us feel the week was just too short.
Here it is, Friday evening and tomorrow is our trip to local farmers markets to get our supplies for the week. How did time get away from us?
Funny how that seems to happen.

@PatZAnthony We aren't having too much rain right now, but we were in a drought a few years ago that was bad, so as much as I like sun, I'm happy to see an occasional rain.

I once read that something changes in our metabolism at about age 30 and after that, time seems to accelerate. It is at warp speed at my age.

We have a friend who decided she had it all figured out at around age 84. She said it is b/c we are going down the hill and that is always faster.
