Do you like beets raw, cooked or juiced?

Beet juice with apple

Never being a fan of beets and always insisting they taste like dirt to me, we decided to juice some with carrots and other veggies to calm the taste. Now a grower from the Kings Mountain area here has beets that are actually good enough we can eat these raw. However, to get a serving or more of beets easily, we decided to juice our last purchase of beets with some apples. Yes, they were good, but not for everyone and we know this! The photo of the drink here is of the beets that were juiced today. There are approximately 4 beets to 1 apple. Do you like beets?

These were especially sweet and tender, so we did try some raw and they were good.

I love beets always did. We grew them a few years ago. I like them pickled or cooked....not raw, no way!

@PatZAnthony I would try one, but we aren't growing them any longer.

I have tried the beets alone without apples. Why is the juice not good for everyone?

The taste is not good for everyone and guessing no one wants to drink what does not taste good.

@PatZAnthony I like the taste of beets. I only have tasted it alone, but I would like to taste it with added fruist to discover the new taste and health benefits.

They don't seem to be as popular now as they once were.

I'm not a fan of beets either, but I love beet pickles. I've never pickled beets but my sister does. I'll get a taste later this summer.

I liked the beets, both raw and cooked, but I cannot eat them because they are rich in oxalate and do tend to form oxalate crystals and stones in the kidney.

I like my beets pickled, now I can eat those. But I do not like beets at all. Unfortunately, I have high blood pressure and have found they do help me, so I have been trying to add them into my diet more.

Yes, I juiced one yesterday, and it tastes good.I added a banana to "neutralize" the taste.I read from the net that it is very nutritious.
