Now you know they don't really care, if they did where are all the people who promise to be there for you when you needed saving the most? Now in your down time, Look around you who do you see? I make bold to say whoever comes around during your trying times most is family not a friend!

Sometimes people will let us down when we need them the most, but that in not who or how they want to be, Nor is that the way we should think about/remember them. Many things can get in the way of friendships.
What if that is the time when they also are having the worst day of their life? We would have no way to know that until later. The same is true of us, too. Without knowing that they are having the worst day of their life, how would we know they need us?
Yes, a friend should always be there for us, but in reality, it just isn't always possible.
I have been on both sides of this equation. It is not fun to think my friends don't care. It feels like I have no friends. But they are there! Even though we don't know that until much later. They are there and giving all the support they can give... But we can't see or hear that support at the time.
Does that mean their support is worthless? No, it makes it all the more precious when we do learn about it.

If you were not to disclose your age and put those pictures up there and not reveal you had a grown up daughter..you could pass off as Raja's age......sometimes (actually many times) you come across as a person from that age group..

Plenty of people will let us down at the worst times which is why i don't put my trust in people-I put my faith and trust in the Lord.

He is the real friend who knows us much more then us and know what we need and give us that when the time come's.

@LovingMyBabies Uhm... what happens when HE lets you down, too?
No, I am not trying to start a fight. No, I am not belittling your faith.
I am curious how you reconcile those times with your beliefs. Of course, I will understand if you choose to ignore me. (What I am asking can be taken as being rude, too. I don't mean to be rude, though, so I hope you don't feel that way.)
If you prefer, you could also answer me via a pm. (Just suggesting another way to do this.)

@DaddyEvil God never lets me down. He might answer no at times because He has a bigger and better plan for me but I have enough faith to know that God has a plan for my life-sometimes what I want isn't what's best for me.
Just like when your a parent-your kids think your mean at times when you say NO but your saying no for their protection or to keep them out of getting into some kind of trouble. It works the same way with the Lord.
He always has a reason for what He does, it might not make sense at the time but later on you see the bigger picture.
We were homeless and hungry for a few months last year. We didn't understand what was going on but now we do. We went to a church to ask if they could feed us. Not only did they feed us, they paid for the motel we were staying in, gave us clothes, and now we have a home church that we love so much! We never would have found our church if we didn't go through that. And that church has been a family to us.
And I know you weren't trying to be rude. =)

Sometimes we want to, but we cant. At other times, we manage but not enough. Everybody has constraints. Nobody plans for others problems. Everybody has to plan for theirs because they are not sure when they would face some. My expectations from friends are closer to zero. Anybody helps me in time, I remember them for lifetime. Even if the next time they don't help me. I understand because there are times I could not help too. So by conventional standards even I have been a bad friend sometimes.

@Sambriel That is for certain. These days many find those they hardly know will assist them faster than family will help. Really sad.

Definitely true. the unconditional support and love which a family bestows upon their children cannot be compared to anything. I guess it with age and experience you realise and learn that it was, is and always be your family. That said friendship is good but cant compare to the love of family .
