For #7 in my Favorite Breakup Songs series, we remain in Chicago, birthplace of three-time Grammy winner Lou Rawls.
Wikipedia says that Rawls released over 60 albums and sold more than 40 million of them.
In 1976, Rawls cashed in big-time with his album All Things on Time. That album produced one of the all-time great breakup songs, the classic, Gold Record, "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine."
The song hit #2 on the Billboard Hot 100, and #1 on the both the R&B and Easy Listening charts.
Lou Rawls had one of the all-time great voices, even to the point that he was doing beer commercials in both the 1960's and 1970's.
This one is timeless.
R.I.P. Lou.

Well, I was twelve, girls were the farthest thing on my mind. I still loved it, though.

Oh Yeah! One of my all time favorite singers, "You can't go home no more" is a killer song. I may do a top ten Lou Rawls if you don't.

That is a grip of music put out and sold. Someone seriously cashed in off this guy. Great voice and song.

I'm sure he helped a lot of people get rich, including himself. He was quite a talent.

I remember this one well. This was sort of a come back song that turned out to be his biggest song. He had a velvet voice.
