I live in a gated community so we're only allowed to have a garage sale during the community garage sale. Well this Saturday is the community garage sale! Do you ever have garage sales? Do you have any tips on having one?

We used to have community garage sales too. So much work. Just make sure every single item has a price on it, but you probably know that already. Good luck with the garage sale!!

Yes! That's what I've been doing and plan on doing all week. It's a lot of work but I'll be happy to get rid of stuff plus make a little bit of money.

Yeah I sell a lot of things on eBay but I find it to be not as fun because there are so many fees selling things online and paying for shipping.

I had a garage sale a couple of years ago. There's always garage sales on my block. Have it during good weather and put up plenty of signs to get people to notice. Have it on weekends too.

It's a set specific time because it's part of the community garage sale. I think I'm only going to do it for a couple hours because it's going to be hot to do it all day.

I am the queen of garage/yard sales...I've had more in my lifetime than I can count. Tip: Make sure things are clean and priced. Some people are afraid to ask if there is no price. Don't ever sell broken or non-working things. Have some bags on hand and always have enough change. Keep the money in your pocket or wear some sort of apron...don't leave money laying around. People are people and some times things walk away. Good luck. Oh, price to sell....a good way to judge is 1/3 or less of what you paid for it.
