My laptop crashed

So I got some online support for my laptop fixing my entire computer because out of nowhere when I went on the Internet or said that I lost Windows something and to call their number. Well, the guy is fixing it but I need to come up with $100 in less than an hour to pay him. Well, I don't think that will even happen. I kept telling the guy I have no money so either way I have to pay it somehow. My laptop was in critical condition inside and I didn't do anything. He kept saying someone hacked my laptop. Whatever. Now he's in the middle of fixing it and I'm trying to figure out how to pay him which probably won't be able to pay him since no one nor I have any money. We will see. My husband says let him fix it and when he's done, don't call him or anything. I don't know yet. I would feel really bad. What do you guys think? Have you had this happen before? It's a guy on Supremo.

$100 to fix a laptop isn't worth it. He could send you to collections, and then you owe even more not a very smart move.

If you can, 'quit' immediately. He's probably the same hacker who gave you the virus in the first place. On a couple of occasions, I've had the same warning telling me to call the '800' at supposedly Microsoft. I simply unplugged my tower for a few minutes and plugged it back in...problem solved. If it's a laptop, I wouldn't just hit the 'off' button, I would remove the battery and reinstall it in a few minutes.
