Prepping for our road trip

Much to do before we tranq out on the ferry. Its been a couple of years since I rode a ferry to Canada. Cold waves smacking the boat. Dogs wishing they could get out and run around. I generally squeeze between the parked cars and walk one of them toward the end- often there is not much toward the end of the ferry except for open water and islands in the distance. So I prepare. I made a batch of bread today. No sense in buying that. Carrot raisin snack muffin bars in the oven now. This morning I bought Sonny James's prescription cat chow and bought a bag of chicken feed. Tomorrow I'll have the car examined and I will squeeze my eyes shut on the bill. And Saturday our young lady neighbor promises to be over to check out what she needs to do to take care of the place while we are away. I am very tired. I should sleep most of Saturday so that I am ready for the over the mountains trip on Sunday. I doubt there will be time but one can wish....

It is quite a trip, @JamesHxstatic. Its 5 to 6 hours to the town that is the ferry jumping off place. The ferry leaves in the morning so I head over the night before and stay in a motel before we actually head out. I just can't drive at night. Especially not through a mountain pass.
