The Associated Press reported the news from Atlanta Georgia the Atlanta Braves have activated former Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim shortstop Erick Aybar from the 15 day disabled list on Sunday. Aybar had been placed on the 15 day disabled list on May 28, 2016 with a bruise on his right foot. The Braves sent infielder Daniel Castro to their AAA minor league team the Gwinnett Braves to make room for Aybar on their 25 man active roster on Sunday. Aybar was traded by the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim before the start of the 2016 baseball season to the Atlanta Braves in exchange for Braves infielder Andrelton Simmons. Aybar was in the staring lineup of the Braves on Sunday at Turner Field in Atlanta Georgia as the Braves hosted the Chicago Cubs in the final game of a three game series that began of Friday.

I read his batting average is not something to write home about in 2016.
