Long distance panic phone call

My daughter lives in the northeast and I am in Florida. Last night I had a phone call from her and I know she is going though some rough times. I always told her my phone was always open no matter what time it is. Geez, last night she called me upset because she was arguing with my grandson who is 15. Then I got the call from him telling me he is fighting with her. Today neither one of them called me so I sent my grandson a text and asked if everything is okay with his mom and he said yes. That was it, no reasons for last night. From now on I am not answering my phone. If it was a real emergency, they would have called my husband before me. why, I don't know but that is what they do.

It is disturbing to receive such a phone call especially if it isn't such an important one or the cause of the argument was trivial.

@MGjhaud Normally I would not be able to sleep and would be worrying all night but I had oral surgery this week and I have some strong meds to let me sleep. Thank goodness for that. I never thought I would be happy to go through that.

I don't blame you for not wanting to hear about their petty squabbles.

Oh dear. This is what families are like, isn't it? I guess your daughter and grandson both needed a sounding-board.
