Blame it on the rain!

Canada
June 13, 2016 2:50pm CST
Right now I'm having a difficult time getting any outdoor chores done. It seems to be raining most of the time. There are a couple of things I'd like to get done but it hasn't been dry enough ever in the past almost three weeks now. It's a little frustrating. We're almost relapsing into winter time cabin fever. Besides writing on myLot. What do others here do when it's raining too hard to do anything outside?

Watch movies, play board games with the kids, quilt, catch up on inside chores...

Some of the outdoor things are getting pressing while some of the things you mentioned are starting to get old.

@koopharper Well, that's what I do when I can't go outside. Ask a question and you'll get an answer.

@Genipher And it was a good answer. I just need to put more effort into the movies and the board games. Actually no one wants to play chess or checkers with me anymore.

I try to take note of indoor stuff that needs doing and so I keep a list. At the moment we need to replace our plastic flywire screens with metal ones which are safer during a bushfire. Next time it rains we'll bring a trestle table into our big lounge (which has a wood-lookalike lino floor) and tackle those.

I usually have an indoor list as well. I just have so many outdoor projects I was hoping to work on.

@JudyEv It's also the cabin fever factor. Seven people in a small building gets old fast.

@koopharper Outdoor ones are much more interesting aren't they? Normally we wouldn't go for too long without being able to get outdoors and do stuff.

@koopharper Oh I see that means if the internet is down then you have to find other things to do.

@Marcyaz We need our Internet. Our phones work through it as well. We don't get regular phone service out here.

Umbrella works for a bit of relief. It's pretty swampy out there.

Sometimes i like it when it's raining hard to go outside. It gives me a good excuse not to go to my office. I just stay at home, play with my clear stamps, decorate my planners, make prima dolls, watch my favourite tv series online, and of course mylot.

I would like it sometimes too, but it's almost all the time right now. I'd just like to see some good weather. I have some big outdoor projects that need to get moving and they are all stalled right now.

I find that all the dreary weather has a negative impact on my mood. Nothing a good dry spell with some sunshine wouldn't fix.

There is actually lots to do inside but we're kind of tired of being cooped up in this place.

I never run out of rainy day things to do. I love to read and vacuum, Empty drawers and try to unclutter stuff, Sew and knit, bake and cook, and the computer can make time fly by.

Most of the family doesn't like competing with me at games. I'm usually too good at it.
