Flag day June 14th!!

Happy Flag Day! Don't forget to bring out York Flags and raise them high. You might be wonder what is Flag day? Well it's the day the United States adopted the flag in 1777. Also today the United States Army also celebrate there birthday in 1775. There is a little US History for you June 14.

Wow I'm so glad to learn about a little US history, you know what my birthday is july4 which is the independent day of US. Its really awesome!

Yes that is cool! The 4th of July is a big day although when we celebrate it isn't not on the US's Birthday for Independence because that came months later. But the 4th of July sounds better and it was a great place in summer to celebrate. My nephew's birthday is the day before the 4th as well as my sister in law.

I know this very well.As a student we went out to have a ceremony on this day.They do not do this anymore?

I don't think we ever did that when I was kid, but I don't remember much of anything we did on flag day. It's not really a big deal when it comes to history.
