We have heavy rain an hour from now and still going. My son was on duty morning shift from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. It's already 7:30 P.M. now and there's no sign of the rain to stop, it pours so hard.
I told my husband to get my son from the hospital, unluckily the tire of our car was flat and he can't fix it also without the help of a vulcanizing shop. I'm beginning to worry on him because he called me this late afternoon asking me to get him because he has a fever and cough.
Usually, we don't have dial tones when there is heavy rain and can't contact him because my phone is in low batt. What a coincidence. What shall we do now? Better wait when the rain stops and I hope it will, soon. For now, I'm worrying on my son's health.
Are you still worrying of your children even if they are grown up now?

I worry a lot for my one and only son when he's not with me. But that rarely happens. He's not an adult yet, just 12. We always bring and pick him up from school. If we couldn't do it, his nanny does.
And since he's an only child, I will always constantly think of his safety even when he reaches the age of adulthood.

@ida123 True. I trust my son's school in rearing him to be a better person when he's out of my site.

@toniganzon That is the best thing we can do, try to trust the school's where our boys are schooling. At least our worries will be lighten.

3 year old boy? A boy with that age is very careless, naughty because he doesn't know of what he's doing but sometimes when you teach him of what to do, he knows how to do it and understand what we want them to do.
No, we don't have taxi here. He's not at home yet but I'm glad the rain subsides.

Yes, we have lots of worries and this are all natural but our most worries are our children who couldn't come home on time even if they are already grown up.
In your case, you worry about your siblings, the kids when they are out and can't come home on time because we are not sure of their safety, right?

I used to pick up from her duty at the provincial hospital. Sometimes where her time out was at 12 midnight, I'd be waiting till almost 2 AM when there are many emergencies. Many times she would go home at that hour without dinner.

Yes, I understand her situation because my son also experience that, can't eat at the exact time of their meal and can't come home exactly at the right time of their off duty. Good that you are there to pick her up at the hospital where she is working.

@sunrisefan Good that they were both in New Zealand and they have each other and don't miss home so much because they are 2 of them.

@ida123 Now it's her older sister who picks her up because they're both now in New Zealand.

That is natural feelings when our children are still kids, we really have to worry on them especially when they don't come home on time but when they are grown up and especially they are boys, nah! I still find them even in wee hours.

You are a Mother indeed.Restless when you can't even sure of your child's situation. I don't have kids but I feel you.
