One of my friend who was overweight had gone for water therapy consulting someone. I heard that it is just the intake of liters of water daily with little food. After a month or two his weight reduced from 120kg to 88 .Shockingly he had reduced 32kgs in such a short time ! but then he was having another problem as he was not able to eat anything as he was not at all feeling like eating and went on reducing still and lost another 25 kg which was really bad though his height was good. Finally he had to consult a doctor to get back his appetite

I haven't heard of this. However Im still myself to lose another 50bls to be at a healthy weight and I recently gave up drinking soda which I was exremely bad about and I've been drinking a lot more water and I have notice it seems like my weight is coming off a little faster so I don't know. I know that with even with good habbits we need to be careful.

According to me, anything is bad when it is taken in excess and though water seems to be good for health it is also bad when it is taken in excess as kidney will be overloaded to function properly isn't it? so we have to careful while going for therapies like the one mentioned here

It is true. I work for a health and fitness coach and she recommends that you drink a lot. Take your weight in pounds, divide in half, that half is the number of ounce you need to take water per day. :) It cleanses the body as well as regulate it and flushes out toxins.

First time to hear this that water could possibly lose weight. Basically, he really lose weight because he doesn't eat to much and only drink some water. I don't think this isnot a healthy diet in losing weight because he end up to lost he's appetite and now consulted to a doctor.

yes, you are right. But initially he was very happy seeing the result so fast and that too without exercising. But later on when he went on reducing, he got worried and by then he had lost the apatite also and that is when he consulted the doctor to get back to normal again

It is nice to loss weight but I won't go for water therapy only. I would still go for the conventional regime: well-balanced diet and exercise.

That would make me weak, I know I tried that and ate little. Instead I just focus more in eating vegetable and having more water to drink..the only problem I have recently is exercise and eating a well balanced meal.
