Watching TV every day steals a lot of time

TV became a part of our life and takes part of our daily activities. News, movies, series... there are more and more channels and even more themes to watch every day. Some movies are really great, but it takes time which we maybe should use for other activities. Sometimes, we sit during hours in front of the screen and forget to do some of our homework, jobs or important relations. Do you think that we abuse watching TV? What's your habit?

You said it right! When i was younger. I always watch tv specially telenovela series, talk shows, game shows, etc i am entertained a lot by television whatever the show is. But when i age a bit watching news was added but now i decided to make a big change by not watching tv at all apecially news. Most news are negatives so i shut off. Now , i have plenty of time for myself and the next days will see where it leads me.

@Meramar yes. And our time is ours completely. I remember my father told us before that watching tv can makes one dull and unintellegent at all.

It is incredible how much time we suddenly have, when we keep the TV switched off.

I occasionally watch TV, most of the time just channel surfing. It certainly is great way to kill time but i prefer to be online.

It is important to control the time we are in front of TV.

I say do whatever you enjoy or derive pleasure from be it TV or reading or bowling or whatever activity. A responsible person knows to get their chores, duties etc done prior to any leisure activity.

That's true, it doesn't matter how we waste our time meanwhile we are responsible with all what we have to do.

Interesting, how did you spend your time when you were young? I used to go out with my bycicle.

I only watch the news for the most part. All of the "tv shows" that I watch are on demand so I can watch them in my freetime instead of watching them at a set time.

That's great to be able to watch on demand. It helps to control a bit when to switch TV on or off.

Watching too much is bad. We can watch limited programs.
