Do you read what your friends write?

I notice that if I'm gone a day or two around here, notifications dwindle down to almost nothing. That means that I need to go around and find my friends to read what they have been posting and begin our correspondences all over again. It's a little bit of work to round everyone up again, but I care about the people here, so I try to find out what's going on in their lives.
I've found some wonderful people here. And I've noticed that, if I don't go and read what they have written, I'll never hear from them. They don't come to read anything I've written. For them, this seems to be a one way street. I'm not hurt by it. I don't know them well enough to be hurt. I just find it interesting that they leave the power of our discussions up to me to initiate. It makes me wonder if they seek anyone out at all.
You certainly don't have to tell me if you seek people out or not. It's none of my business. I guess this has been a way for me to "people watch" here and see what my different relationships are here. It doesn't change how much I care. That is what it is. But they can't just be here for the money, either, or they would be seeking everyone out! lol
Life certainly is interesting!

I do seek some out to comment. Some if I see their discussion under the most recent I will respond from there. Others, I go to people's profiles to see what they have commented on and I find discussions that way as well.

The thing is Claudia if we are out of sight for a while, we are out of mind. It happens to us all, no matter how active we are when we are here.
I try to keep up with people, but am not always successful - there is just not enough time to read everything our friends have written.

For me, unfortunately, time is just the opposite. I have, most of the time, too much time on my hands and I can sit here for hours finding people with whom to chat. But there are names that I never see anymore because they never seem to read what I write. And I guess I miss them. But I can't always remember their names to go and find them! lol so I'll just keep searching and when I do find them, I need to add them to my follow list.

What I like is that both should go side by side. i always remember friendship can not be found easily. I like total friendship, pure, free, and frank.

An interesting observation. I know I'm not on here as much as in the winter time because my schedule is busier. I do try and go to my friends to see what their latest posts may be so that I can like and comment on them. I know I have some followers that haven't posted in awhile nor do I see them liking or commenting on posts, mine or others. One of these days I'll have to go through my list and clean it up a bit. Because following someone then not seeing them interact on a site where interaction is how you make money is a bit odd to me. Have a blessed day.

myLot is a site where you have to work at it. If you are absent awhile, notifications will dwindle. That's the nature of the beast. But all you have to do is go down the line and start commenting.

Thankfully, I haven't been missing much lately. And I love going around and seeing all the varied things everyone writes about! Keeps me busy and interested!

I haven't had as much time to comment lately, as I've had in the past. I've been "hit and miss" with my interactions. Recently, I've only commented on a few of the most recent posts at the time I log onto the site. When there's more time, I enjoy participating in numerous discussions.

If you're not here for a couple of days, week or longer, stands to reason you aren't interacting with other members much less written anything new. The only option is to reopen the channel of communication by seeking out their discussion/ posts.
