I've Made a Decision

I've still been worrying about my surgery for impacted wisdom teeth, despite the surgery not even being scheduled yet! So, I've been thinking about what's causing my anxiety. It's all based around having a male surgeon. Even though my dentist has promised to be there to help me, that hasn't been enough to calm my fears. There is a female oral surgeon in my city and I've made the decision that I'm going to go see her for a consultation.
The relief I feel after making that decision is amazing. It's like a weight has been lifted off of me and I can breathe again.

how come it bugs you that it was a male?
I feel weird around male profesionals some times especially being alone with them

I was sexually abused up until age 11 and it's left me with a lot of problems feeling physically safe with guys. I'm afraid he would harm me while I was unconscious from anesthesia (I know, not a rational fear)
