Outage!

I woke up early at 5:45 AM to watch the movies that I missed watching. Captain America (Civil war) was shown, and I watched that from beginning to end. 8 AM, while I was charging my phone, all lights went off. I immediately called the electric cooperative and alas! They informed me that our street (Bart - - Street) is included in the power interruption from 8 AM to 5 PM. I and my son were anxious because of nearly drained cell phone batteries. Worse, my sister miscalled me and texted me that there might be a problem because I did not answer back her calls. I had to text her that our cell phones are going dead. Hot! No rice cooker, so I cooked rice in the stove. Hot, so my son started the generator to have our phones' batteries recharged. Hot, that when the generator ran out of gasoline, my son stayed outside in the garden while I nodded inside the house in front of the TV set. Hot; the leaves do not even move- no winds! Power was back at 5:30 PM. Now, I am using my son's desktop to post this discussion, then we will have our dinner. Now, it is not so hot, but warm. Winds blowing now. I am so sorry but I will come back here tomorrow after I and my son will do some important matters. I can still be online on my phone, after dinner. Did you experience any outage there in your place?

@ridingbet yup, it's good there's a water pump within the area. we had to fetch water twice. And there was no notice before that happened. I still had to message them on FB. And the neighborhood also had no idea. It lasted for almost 24 hours.

I'm sorry you had an outage there. No power outage, but it's been too hot to be online much. The heat and humidity kept me away most of yesterday as the computer doesn't work well in humidity. I won't be here most of the day because I will be gone.

Hmm I hate it when we have a power outage. Thankfully we have power back up which last us for a day or more. We really have no problems on that front these days.

@sofssu why? isn't it you are living in the US? not here in other Philippines where power and water interruption come more often than the rains?

That is a very hard situation, and I really hate it when there is power interruption. Thank God there has not been such inconvenience in our place for long time already.

We don't have power outage this week so far and we have rain the whole day, no big consumption of electricity because today is too cold, we only use it for the television and the refrigerator, computers and rice cooker. I can relate you of not having electricity for long hours, it's a big sacrifice.

yes it is my friend, and i dread the more senior citizens here might succumb to heat stroke and hypertension or dehydration if power is not restored as scheduled.

indeed, no fans to cool us, no AC's to keep us fresh.
