My House Is Full Of Chocolate And Flowers.

We had a double celebration yesterday (Sunday) as it was both our 51st wedding anniversary and Father's Day. All of our immediate family came round for a party in the garden. We had a great time - the family brought most of the food and drink with them - I just cooked a ham, some chicken fillets and roast potatoes. We were so lucky with the weather as it was cold on Saturday, and today it is raining steadily. I was on the receiving end of some beautiful flowers and chocolates, and my husband received brandy, so we were both happy. Today is @DianneN 's birthday and @just4him asked if I would do a limerick for her. I'm not good at doing them 'to order' but here's what I've come up with at short notice. I've been asked to see if I can Write an ode for our friend Dianne, It's her birthday today, And I'd just like to say 'Cheers' to the most glamorous Gran. Photo is of some of the flowers we received for our anniversary.

A loving family should keep your home full of chocolates, flowers, and brandy. I'm so happy the weather cooperated for your 51st Wedding Anniversary and for your precious hubby's Father's Day. You are both blessed! I wish you both many more healthy and happy years together. Thank you so much for dashing off a special birthday limerick for me. I appreciate it so much. Congratulations! That's really a lifetime of happiness, nice that you were able to celebrate and the weather cooperated. I was thinking about Dianne's birthday a few days ago, and thought to myself that I'll have to look up to see what day the 20th falls on, but here I read it. I love your poem for her, I'm sure that she likes it too. Happy Anniversary!

@jaboUK - Ms Janet - I was not certain as to the subject I might choose for my return visit to The Examiner, but after our "chocolate and puppies" conversation, I settled on that one. @RubyHawk It's difficult when they live far away, isn't it? Our son lives near, but our daughter lives in Thailand for most of the year. She comes back for the summers though. Glad you had a nice meal with your son.
