My Very Special Day

Today is very special to me for many reasons.
It is my 39th birthday, again.
It is the summer solstice- the first day of summer.
It will be a full moon, the first in 68 years on the summer solstice.
This evening we have reservations at Tarry Lodge, a Mario Batali restaurant, in downtown New Haven, in the heart of Yale University. My hubby, younger son and his fiancé, my brother, and sister-in-law will join me.
I've been honored with phone calls, texts, Facebook messages, gifts, and a visit just now, with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, from my younger son.
So if you don't hear from me tonight, you'll know I'll be looking at the moon, welcoming in the summer, and another new year.

HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I thought just a few days ago that I should look at the calendar and see what day the 20th falls so that I could PM you, but I forgot. I'm sorry, but you have my most sincere wishes for the happiest birthday and year to follow. It sounds like you'll have a wonderful time with your family members out for supper-enjoy and I hope that they have a wonderful dessert menu for you to choose from!

@DianneN How very thoughtful, you must have been so happy! And the meal, was it just as wonderful as the company and the birthday celebration itself? Its nice that you were able to enjoy the full moon, it was a bit too cloudy to really see it here.
I'm sure that you'll continue to enjoy festivities for the rest of the month.

@Juliaacv There is so much happening. The Geek Squad is coming today, the lawncare people will be here later or tomorrow, and we're waiting for the gas company to return with longer copper tubing to hook into our gas grill. And that is just for today. Ugh! Yesterday was perfect in every way. Next year, we'll probably have a hurricane on my bday. Lol!

Many thanks, Julia. Not to worry. I celebrate all month long. Lol! I had an incredible day, and a wonderful dinner. My hubby ordered my favorite birthday cake from the bakery, dropped it off at my son's house, and my son arrived before us and gave it to the staff to surprise me after dinner. We drove home with the top down and viewed the moon. All said and done, it was a fab day. Back to reality today.
